Eadweard Muybridge (American, born England, 1830-1904), Animal Locomotion: Leaping Man, c. 1887, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, photographs taken by a series of cameras. Muybridge printed these as sheets of sequenced exposures, although they are displayed here as if projected like a movie -- a technological development Muybridge is considered to have pioneered.

what do you think of digitally enhanced photos (the ones edited through photoshop)?
if money were not an issue (let's say i'm related to jaime zobel or bill gates) and i would like to learn about photography, what would you recommend, digital or film photography?

1. When does a photographer become a plagiarist?
2. Do photographers need to learn photoshop?
3. Do we have THEATER PHOTOGRAPHERS in the Philippines?
4. What can you say about the simple fact that tourists may take
pictures in public areas of our country while Filipino photographers
are often halted by "paki alamerong" security guards saying, "May
permit ho ba kayo?" I believe that taking pictures of our country aids
in promoting tourism.
5. What photog books can you recommend to amateur photographers or photography enthusiasts?
7. Where can we buy cheap lenses/camera accessories besides Hidalgo?
8. Do you give names to your cameras? (...because I do. His name is David. Para lang may attachment kami.)
9. Can you share some of your lucky breaks?
10. If you were to die tomorrow (or less morbid... kung manakaw ang camera niyo bukas), what one image would you like to capture? (pa-deep lang)
Photographers.
what do you mean when
you say "A PICTURE IS
WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS."?
i have a whole album sa photos ko sa aking multiply dedicated to those who're going to vote...
you can check it out if you want. ^^

Profiting from photography does not make it less of an art, because first of all, photographers need to support their needs for the art; the equipment, the film (for film photogs).
Nice run for tonight. However, the transition of topics have been too fast and it has been too hard to catch up with commenting. =p
IMHO
2. Do photographers need to learn photoshop?
Yes and photographers need to learn the grand daddy of photoshop...dark room.
*** Foto Baryo, a compact building in Tanauan, Batangas, is conducive for learning. It houses a darkroom with enlargers, a big sink, and other tools for printing. The drying area beneath a tiny loft near a comfortable wooden table is surrounded by a huge photo book collection, vintage cameras, and a few black-and-white photographs on the wall. It was conceived by Fernando Afable , a Batangueño based in New York for the past 16 years. He is currently the darkroom manager at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York City.

They're just doing their jobs anyway. Don't yell at the guard, take it out on the owners/developers
5. What photog books can you recommend to amateur photographers or photography enthusiasts?
I love my NatGeo FIELD GUIDE. It's available in Fully Booked.
On Photography by Susan Sontag has lots of insights.
Marami din material sa internet! Mga blogs ng photographers and sites like www.robgalbraith.com o www.digitaljournalist.org
7. Where can we buy cheap lenses/camera accessories besides Hidalgo?
B&H www.bhphotovideo.com
8. Do you give names to your cameras? (...because I do. His name is David. Para lang may attachment kami.)
I stopped naming my gadgets since when it's time to let go (sell or turnover) mahirap kasi parang attached na ako dun.
9. Can you share some of your lucky breaks?
Still waiting for one :p But my internship sa newswire ay isang turning point ny buhay ko.
10. If you were to die tomorrow (or less morbid... kung manakaw ang camera niyo bukas), what one image would you
Supermarket tabloid faves like lochness, 80 lbs baby, cat with five legs hehehe seriously wala. This is why I value the phrase "shoot like there's no tomorrow"
tammy.. salam-at sa mga sagot! ü
