Oct 19 on Rock Ed Radio >> Heavy Mental Environmental

The musicians of The Dawn will ask the questions.

Ms. Earth 2007 Jessica Trisko and Ms. Earth-Water 2006 Cathy Untalan, Atty Gao Pronove (Greenhouse Gas Institute Executive Director) will most probably have the answers. If you have answers to questions regarding the environment or questions that need answers then this episode is for you. If that last sentence confused you, it's okay. Sometimes Environmental jargon can be confusing too-- consider that practice.

Lourd and Gang will just hang around and look from left to right enjoying the audio tennis game between beauty queens and The Dawn with a lawyer in between.

Let's un-jargon the jargon, shall we...?

For starters, tell me what you know about Greenhouse Gas. (diagnostic test)

Greenhouse gases are one of the contributors to the rise of sea temperature causing the changes in weather patterns that we are experiencing worldwide. The rising of sea temperature also causes the fierce typhoons that we are having right?
I watched "The Inconvenient Truth"...its quite long...anyways, there, he points out the diverse changes not only with the weather but also with the ecosystem brought about by the increasing levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Hopefully guys you'll comment on Al Gore's "The Inconvenient Truth"

looking forward to your show ^-^

About the coal-fired power plant, is it really hazardous to the health of people?

How about the myth of global warming? Do you believe it? I believe it but i know people who are skeptical. Advice the listeners to watch "An inconvenient truth" by Al Gore.

Everyone's using paper bags and boxes here now.

At least pag ganun, mas madaming taong maaapektuhan.

To sir JB and Buddy: Would you consider using your music to promote environmental awareness?

Anonymous said...

I ask the bagger of whatever store not to put my goods in a plastic bag if it's only few and if I will consume it instantly.

Anonymous said...

We know to have a technology like that to be an eco-friendly country we will be needing billions of pesos.

I'm really amazed on how the Japanese do their trash. The garbage trucks bring the trash in a plant where the trash is recycled into pure energy like ..

It's really outrageous to see how our people dumo their trash in the middle of the streets of manila and qc. mga dugyut sila.

Anonymous said...

The environmental cost of producing paper bags (CO2 emissions, trees, etc) is comparable to plastic bags.

TIPS:
1. Unplug electric wires
2. Use flourescent light
3. Use scratch paper
4. Buy large packed junkfoods instead of small packed ones
5. Read your news and magazines online instead of buying print versions
