Feb 22 on Rock Ed Radio >> Mga nasa EDSA.

Let's hear it from the boys of EDSA. College and law school students of 1986 come back on air to tell us about the days of this revolution.

Atty Gao Pronove, UP Law School Govt President, 1986. His friends Chris Belardo, Henry Atayde, and a few other friends will come and share those fateful four days and what they remember.
Let's add a little texture to what you've read on history books.
Shall we?

Any questions?

di ba kayo tinamad or nainis dahil sa sobrang daming tao, masikip, tulakan, magulo?

Andun ako nung People Power 1. masarap maging pinoy talaga nung mga oras na yun. I was at Edsa 2 din. But definitely not at Edsa 3.

Anonymous said...

Good evening Rock Ed. Nice set of guests tonight. When I was in highschool in Quezon Province, our history teacher told us that EDSA 1 was insane and that Marcos didn't do anything bad. I think it's due to the gov't control over media during the Marcos regime. People from the provinces dodn't really know what was actually happening at the capital. My uncle, who was an activist, never went home one night. I'm wondering of he's contented on the outcome of EDSA wherever he is now.

Well, some of the media men. Abante and other tabloids and Noli De Castro are classic examples.

Good evening.

I was only grade 6 during EDSA 1. Wala ako dun kasi nasa military dad ko. Pero alam ko na Marcos and his cronies were all evil and plundered this country..still happening now.

Good evening po. I just want to ask the equally valiant guests - how did the significant event transformed their personal lives? Salamat po.

Anonymous said...

How did you respond t othe people who mocked and bugged you when you were in the streets rallying?

Anonymous said...

Bakit?

Anonymous said...

Dapat na mangyari ay revolution from within/ Di sapat ang people power.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I really hope the youth of todat can still pull up something like EDSA 1. My friends who young professionals would talk about chris brown and rhianna, the nba finals or their love stories, rather than what's happening in the country.

Anonymous said...

Good evening po. I think feeling lang natin na lumaya tayo because of EDSA 1. Pero ang totoo? Nabaon lang tayo lalo sa kahirapan.

Kudos to everyone from RockEd and RockEd Radio!

Nice job with last Sunday's episode! It was one of the most touching episodes of RockEd Radio (aside from the CARP and Ha Homonhon).

Keep it up!
